The 550i does everything better, and It's faster, by alot. You will be very suprised and the gas milage isn't bad either.

i wish it had 400hp i havent had anything les than 400 in years except the 545 its just a mental thing i guess

then again my favorite car back in the day the older CLK and E 55 it had about 369hp and it was awesome the BMW engine is so advanced where as some cars may have more for it wont be evident

Faster by a lot? Not!!! Some say they feel a difference. I'll race em. Bet grogan545 will too. Check it out bro in post #1 here: Fast 545i's. Also, check this thread out as well as the link given in its post #1. Finally, check out post #46 here. No one has yet shown acceleration results better than grogan's or mine in a 550i.

The 550i is not even close to the E55, at least the AMG version, despite its claimed HP.

And, it's great to see you again too swaja. I was burned out. I am going to focus mainly on performance and on occasion on things I have really up-close personal experience with. I have been posting a lot on Windows Vista sites for the last year, but now I am burned out on that.

Well, don't burn yourself out of e60.net again. Take it SLOW, but I don't think you're the type to take anything slow.

Not sure what you mean by "a lot." I've gone heads up against a few 550is on highway rolls. All are members here i.e. hollywoodtrash, ICEMAN 316, brian1225, and torquey5. It's not that easy to walk away from a 545i in a 550i. Of course, I lose to all the 550is except ICEMAN 316. That is the only 550i I can beat on a regular basis and that's b/c of his own doing. I have the most trouble with 550is with Step transmissions; mine is SMG. 550is with SMG or 6speed is still a loss but a close one.

R u talking about the 07 550i or the 08 550i? The 08 which I own is "NOTICEABLY" faster than the 07---BMW has tremendously stepped up their game with their improvements to the tranny including shorter shifts(Double Vanos technology controlling the camshafts for increased low end torque that is consistent thru the power band. The new suspension also enhances the overall feel and definitely the aesthetics.

So Cal
