AlexFW, an M5 was not a night and day difference? Interesting. My thoughts are but one man's rather subjective opinion, yet I still maintain the 550i is such a significant improvement that it is indeed a night and day different vehicle from my 04 (November 03 production) 545i.

Test drove the 550i and I wasn't wowed by it. I would say keep what you haveand mod it until the F10.
