My Ride: 2006 BMW M5, Silverstone with black extended leather, brushed aluminium trim, Nav Pro, Logic 7, PDC, 35 % tint.

Well, I finally got the car back.

It seems that they fixed the vibration problem with a software update, the car drives a lot smoother now, and the tach only osciilates slightly.

The steering wheel has also been fixed.

I am happy to get my car back, I did really miss her. Hopefully, everything will be fine.

I got my 545i August 1 and I too have a vibration problem at idle with the ac on. I can feel the bottom of the driver's seat pulsating.
I have an appt. next Tuesday with BMW.
After they do the software upgrade did you have to re-program things that were set before the upgrade like re-enter your radio stations with iDrive or did those stations stay programmed as before the upgrade?
Like others posting here I also have trouble modulating the brakes to get a nice smooth stop. I also get a "jerk" at the end.

You do have to reprogram everything, it is a bit of a pain. I haven't had any problems with the brakes.

Does that include re-entering the seat memory? The BMW technicians are notorious for moving the seats to totally wacko positions which nobody else in their right mind would endure.
