I will be takeing delivery on a new 2005 545 within the next week. The price was negotiated about 3 months ago. Does anyone know if the market price on these cars is holding or should I consider re-negotiating?

Did you get 3000 to 3500 off MSRP?

If so that is pretty agressive pricing.

Try Edmunds.com for market pricing.

it's always a better idea to talk about numbers when the car is on the dealer's lot. but now is a little too late. so i agree with jimbo. other than edmund's, you can try kbb.com. good luck .

Jered,

I would really stick to what I negotiated, even if the market price has dropped slightly. If a big drop in market prices occur, I would politely ask if they can give me the benefit of thought and re-ajust it.

You must remember that you made the choice yourself to negotiate early. So, ethically speaking, you should honor what you've promised.

Agree with speedracer. Your focus shoul be about how much you are going to enjoy your car rather than squeezing the last hundred bucks out of the deal.

In the western market, if you don't want the 545, someone else will. i doubt you'll get the dealer to budge.

On a separate note, how would you feel if your dealer ask you to pay more (assuming the demand for the car has gone up) upon arrival of teh car you agreed on?? I think we'll hear bloody murder here. Its just a bad business practice. So why would you want to be the same a-hole?? know what I mean.

Unless you have another car in mind, and are ready to walk away from your current deal, I wouldn't do it. The 545 is a hot car, especially in SoCal.

cheers,
