Time to change the spark plugs on my 2009 535xi and I cannot seem to able to remove the engine cover. The front two hex nuts were easy to remove but there is something in the back which is holding the cover from getting slide open.
Please send me any picture or a linke to vido where it shows how to remove the cover.
Some guidance please, else I will have to pay $600 to change plugs.
Thanks
Nadeem

This may help you. The inside air filter boxes need to come off to reach the back bolt.

Thanks a lot for the link, it was a big help.
Just to let you know on the 2008 and onwards I think there are some additional step to remove the cover. The last two screws at the back are hard to remove there is a cover on top of the fourth screw on the back right hand side which is hard to remove. Impossible to remove the cover so had to reach and struggle to remove the cove.
Also need special socket for 11 point plugs now.
Cheers
