why put two turbos in a car if you are not gonna make it brutally fast?

does anyone have JB3 numbers for this B?
check with member dbae1978(David), He's got a 08 535 and I believe he's got JB3. He might have dyno sheet.

atta boy, there a lot of dyno's floating around e90posts and n54tech.com forums (none for the 535i, all 335i #'s)

members dbae1978, jcool10181, and my535i are running jb3 on their 535's (all with different extras also)

***dyno on a 335i with newest jb3 version (v1.21) http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2765

no dyno's yet for the jb+ that i have yet either, just drag times on the above sites also

***Drive smart and safe...

I think the 535/550 are very close to the E46 M3 in terms of raw speed. The M will have an edge in the handling department but it'll be pretty close on highway runs.
Any E46 will trounce the E60 in the handling dept, let alone the M

Our E60's are about wafting along in some luxury whilst having what it takes to make you smile a little when the mood takes you

I dont think so. Compare a e60 with sports package and active roll suspension to a 325 non sport, that 325 rolls all over the place

I used to own a 2005 e46 330i.

With stock suspension, the e60 (even with SP) doesn't handle well as the e46. Put some good after-market suspension, it will be a different story.

Things are so close in these circumstances... I had a mile blast with an S5 this afternoon at quite high speeds. He had bombed it down the slip road and undertook everyone and ended up in front of me. The traffic cleared and he got the jump on me from about 60 as I didn't think he was going to punch it, so I had to wait for the kick down in mine and what felt like the torque converter trying to transfer power to the wheels (not very well I might add)...

...anyway to say the audi prides itself in having an S in it's name I wasn't overly impressed with amount of car lengths he made on me over a mile... probably only two maybe 3. End of the day I was happy how mine performed as a 4 door luxury barge and to see his frustration especially when his passenger was looking round to work out what was still keeping up with him.

I would like to see the M5board get some footage of the 545is, 535is, 550is against M3s S5s etc. I just love watching those vids

First of all body roll alone does not dictate absolute cornering ability........

Greatest of respect guys I have owned both........my old standard E46 320d on SE suspension which had done 75000 miles ( ie tired suspension ) could trounce my 530d M-Sport around the local twistys and my local race track, and that was way before I updated the suspension to KW V3's..............I have tested both cars both on track and on road with telemetry as well.

However, thats not to say you cannot transform the E60 in a corner cutting machine, just compare apples with apples is all I'm saying, the E60's weight and COG can never defy the laws of physics which is why the E60 will never live with a E46 if both drivers were of equal talent and commitment.

Some track action in the 46............

Just look at your old E46. Those wheels alone would help. You said SE suspension on the E46. What I said was regular non sports suspension on the E46 vs the active roll stabilization sports suspension on the E60.

It might not be true but To me I still dont think the comment "Any E46 will trounce the E60 in the handling dept" is true. Why is everyone yapping at my comment when someone else said it'll TROUNCE!!!!!! B.S. Trounce... pheesh.

The E46 and the 530 aren't all that different in terms of weight as the E46 doesn't benefit from the extensive use of aluminum that you see in the E60.
