The only way for them to know is by actually inspecting them.

My car was checked after FP and spark plugs were replaced. When I start my car it takes 5-8 clicks before it starts! My fuel injector test came up they are working fine. I still want them replaced!

I think this is the same recall as the HPFP...the injectors & HPFP are lumped into the same recall. basically, they are gonna check the HPFP and the injectors, and replace if necessary. But they are not (2) seperate recalls.

I just got my "un"recall letter this past Friday. They are saying it is an emissions problem and may take more than a day to fix. It will involve injectors and HPFP issues but I suspect is BMW's acknowledgement for how many times, there is a high pressure fuel pump problem. I am not confident this is the fix, bus sure hope so as I am planning a 3,000 mile trip in two weeks.

I just got the same fix emissions recall letter from BMWNA. Clever wording, that. Not sure why they wouldn't go with "URGENT RECALL - Imminent Fuel pump FAILURE. Bring vehicle in if you want to avoid putting yourself and your loved ones in a real-life FROGGER on the high speed freeway WHEN our fuel pump chokes!"
