My Ride: 2006 525XI, Jet black on Dakota beige. Premium and winter packages. I consider myself a purist and intend to keep my car absolutely stock and shiny.
2008 328I Convertible, Sapphire black on beige interior. Premium package, NAV, iPod adapter.
Retired: 2002 325I, Titanium silver on black leather. Premium package. Absolutely stock and proud of it.
They both look great and pretty much the same (almost). Ok, let me put it this way: the average non BMW enthusiast could not tell them apart or even care about the differences. The average person thinks BMWs are just rich, arrogant people's cars.

Also, his headlights look massive compared to yours. I wonder if distance to the camera has anything to do with it? Perspective?

yeah, I think the angle that I shot made the M5 look slightly bigger than my 535i. I also noticed the 40s on the front of the M5 and how huge the sidewall is. don't know if I like that look, it looks better as 35 and 30 on non-m sport package or lowered cars.
thanks for the comments, The looks of the M5 were nothing spectacular, but it was cool to see one as I hardly ever see them.
Would love to drive it, though.
Also, I like my fogs on my Mtech bumper
