I was at a boat show over the weekend and an M5 happened to park next to me so I thought it would be very prudent to shoot a couple of pics with my iphone.

Not the best quality, but here they are. Notice how small my eighteens look.

Interesting. I have never seen a side by side of the 166's and 18" 124's. Note to self...do not park next to and e60 M5!

Nice but can I ask why the M5 has an amber light on the side of the front bumper? was that original and do they light up or just a reflector? I think if it was part of the DRL, that would look nice.

cheers

that's what I always think when I see an M5; it sits too high at th front

so, I assume the mind games have started after looking at that pic... when are you getting some 19s or 20s?

thanks for sharing the pics

Years ago I saw an M5 parked close to a normal E60... Can you notice the difference in the hood inclination?
I thought the hood was different, but the part number is the same.

An M5 looks different! I'm wondering if someone who did the complete M5 front conversion has never parked near a real M5 and check for differences.

US cars are required to have an amber reflector at the front/side of the car. The pre-LCI cars had the amber reflectors embedded in the corners of the light housing but with the LCI cars, they moved the reflector to the bumper.
