My Ride: 2005 525i Titanium Silver Metalic and 2003 325xi Jet Black with the Premium Package in both cars.

I also have the stock 17 inch wheels and OEM Conti's, which to me is a great tire on wet or dry pavement. I never have a floating feeling.

My wifes 530XI with 17" contis very effected by cross winds, however my 550 with run flats is not.

I live in KS where we have some of the strongest winds becasue there is nothing here to stop it and my xi has not missed a beat when doing 90mph with stocks or with my 20's. no floaty here. It may be your tires. My stock tires are not RFT.

Dude, I know what you're saying. My car starts to get a bit loose at 75-85 mph. I don't mean to say unstable but there's a definite change in the way the car handles. I can only attribute it to the height of the vehicle and the lack of a sports suspension.

As I said - I own taller car that is more stable. I am kind of disappointed with this since it rains quite some in Pacific NW and primary reason I bought xi was to have car that is stable in inclement weather.
