The two images here of the 18" Sport xi look a hair higher than my 2006 530i Sport, but it still looks awesome.
My gallery, which happens to have some shots that show wheel gaps pretty clearly.

I will also let everyone know. I was supposed to be picking my baby up today but there was a slight delay and because I will be gone over the weekend for business I will be probably picking her up next week (June 14th). I will keep everyone posted as well!

I wouldn't put it beyond their ability to make the car look more attactive and lower in the promotion pictures by adding weight in the trunk. Retouching helps too by increasing the shadow darkness under the car.

My Ride: 2006 530xi ED 7/1/2005. Silver Grey, Black Leather, Premium Package, Cold Weather, Sport, Logic 7, 18'' style 123 rims.
Creative photo editing is certainly within the realm on possibilities, however if the car is noticably higher when seen by those who are worried about it, then sales will be affected regardless of the promo photo. I think the car still looks phenomenal and I will be able to give my two cents worth when when ED comes June 30.

I was at the dealer this weekend picking up my permanent license plates/tags. They had a 5-Series wagon there. It was obvious even before looking at the rear badging that it was an xi. Looked great on the Touring - gave it a pumped up "All-Road" kind of a look. I imagine this will be popular with the Touring buyers.
