The xi model don't have as many options for wheels. There are previous posts about this, basically you are limited due to the x-drive and different offsets compared to the straight i model. Why not go for the 535i?

Do you mean a pre-owned 530xi ? ? Or did you actually find a 'new' 2007 530xi ... or do you mean a new (2008) 535xi?

Any way you go, the body work should not present any problems; the wheels, on the other hand, are specific to the ###xi models and have different offsets than other RWD BMW models.

No M5 or M6 rims will fit...out of luck there, buddy. Even if you find an aftermarket wheel you like with the correct offsets for the xi, it won't be a true "deep dish" look. The front and rear axles on our cars are slightly longer that the RWD versions, hence you need to find rims with higher offsets. If you want to go staggered, the OEM recommended offsets are ET43 in front and ET55 in rear. However, you won't find any OEM rims in 19" or higher with those offsets. So, find some aftermarket rims that are close...ET40 in front and ET45 on rear work also with no rubbing, like mine.

Everything else you mentioned for the M5 mods should work, though. Good luck!
