Even with my e60 520i I succeed in making a beautifull donuts.
of course with the DTC and DSC off.
It's no that you can do this with just pressing the trottle pedal, that only works with an M5.
the technique:
take a area where are no trees, cars or other objects that you may hit.
Just pull up strongly in a straith line let say 30 meters, let go of the throttlepedal, then suddenly turn the steeringwheel hard and inmediatly push the throttle-pedal down.
If you are very good in this, turn the steeringwheel the other way while you are making the donut, than the frontwheels of the car stay more into one place.

Ya that'll work. When you let off the gas that throws the cars weight towards the front giving less traction on the rear tires and once you turn and get back on the gas there'll be enough power to break loose that tiny bit of traction thats left in the rear.
