I have the new engined 530d and a work collegue has the ealier car. He tried my car in the real world driving experiance out there on the road with no torque curve charts and said he was amazed at the difference. He said it was quieter also.
well the torque curves are meant to show people that dont have the car what it is like. and besides they
can get far more reliable results than using a bum-dyno like your colleque

I spoke to kelleners about chip-tuning of the new 530d (231bhp part)
and they said that at best with a chip you can achieve the results of the older generation 530d (218bhp)...
Why? because the lighter manifold simply cannot take the pressure of such a high output... so here a higher engine output does not nevessarily mean higher tuned output
