Earlier this week, I sat in my car while a 21 y/o realized that she was too far into the street exiting from a shopping center and decided to back up into my bumper, front fender and driver's door as I was behind her. Estimated repairs are at least $5,000, new door is needed. Meeting with the autobody shop and the insurance adjuster this week and just wanted to post and ask if there is anything I should be aware of about BMW repairs. I am having work done by the sole autobody shop recommended by the local BMW dealer and the owner has the same car/color that I do so I am feeling pretty good about how it will turn out. Anything I should look out for, insist on, ask about? I want this repair done right
As always, any opinions appreciated.

That's good they are replacing parts instead of covering damage up. You should be in good hands if the BMW dealer is recommending them. Maybe ask them if you can swap out for the mtech aero kit if possible.
