Is the sport package on the 528xi worth it? Doesn't really seem to offer much? Any thoughts. I was thinking premium pkg, HID's and Ipod. That's the only options I need.

I love it on my 528xi particularly the SEATS and METAL 3-spoke steering wheel. Totally unique and different fom non-sport option, BLACK SHADOW TRIM gives luxury look as chrome trim is on almost every car.
Go for it.

ZSP - SPORT PACKAGE
(255) Sports leather steering wheel, (3 spoke with metal), 2-Controls for different feature
(330) [Black Shadow Trimline Recess finisher (fr. & Rr. windows),] Doorsill strips with black finish
(456) [Multicontour seeats]: 20- way, Body wrap, back, 3-level, lat-2, thighs-1, seat height,
Optional: 122: 17X8.0 Star spoke Wheels ( 245 / 45R-17 run flat performance tire) [I will stay with STD wheels and Tires]

Ya I was reading that the other day, atleast in the 07 xi's you kind of got ripped off when it came to the sport package as that stiffening sway bar technology and active steering I believe were not available in the xi, nor was as much suspension updgrades. But I think the sports package is a must ona 5er for the seats and rims alone-oh ya and the shadowline trim is an absolute must. Turns it from a luxry vehicle that does not look sport to a sports car that looks luxiours

That while you pay the same amount for the sport package on an xi as a regular car-you get half of the stuff-which is why the option should be less expensive for the xi but is not
