My Ride: E60 2006 525d Steptronic, Carbon Black, M Sport-Package, Style 135M Rims, Beige Interior, Dark Poplar Wood Trim, Comfort Seats, Professional Navigation with BMW Online and BMW Assist, HUD, Logic7, TV, Bluetooth, Speech Control, Active Steering, Adaptive Bi-Xenon, 6-Disc Changer, Heated Seats (front and back), Extended Climate, PDC, Sunroof, Auto-Dim. Int + Folding Exterior Mirrors, Electric Rear- and Side Blinds, Foldable rear seats, Electric Adjustable Steering Wheel
who will win?
both are diesels
525d: 177 HP, weight 1660 kg, 400Nm, top speed 230 km/h, 0-100 8,1 sec.
S 320 CDI: 235 HP, weight 1955 kg, 530Nm, top speed 250 km/h, 0-100 7,5 sec.
i expect the s class winning, look at the acceleration parameter. am i right?

you'll have to put a 530d to make the challenge

with the 525d the s-class would win easly...but with a 530 the 5er would win easly...

Believe it or not the S320 CDI was a serious contender in my choice of car - but personally I put performance over comfort and I also prefer BMW's image.
As to the next model up - what about the s350?
