My Ride: '04 525i, sport package & all the other goodies included
My previous post about the tire pressure monitor possibly malfunctioning.....well.....the system worked. 
I just didn't want to believe it. <_< After 2 days of sporadic flat tire warnings, I dropped in on my BMW stealership while the warning was on. My SA started checking the pressure in the tires until he got to the right rear and said, "We can stop right here....you're screwed....see it in the tread?" Well, at least the issue was settled. He said it would cost me about $15 to have it plugged and I almost dropped in my tracks!! I asked him what happened to BMW's opinion that runflats can't be plugged, only replaced. He said that's BMW's official stand but we all know that it's just for legal purposes. 15 minutes and 15 dollars later I'm back in the saddle with full pressure. It's a happy ending.

I had over a dozen screws in my two front tires (had to drive over a broken bag of them on the road or get into an accident). Thankfully, I had bought insurance and the two runflats were replaced under the insurance plan. Total cost including tax was over $1250 CDN. Best $400 I ever spent!
