5 Series has the stiffest chassis?

Just read one of the carmags - of course now I can't remember which one. They were talking about the testing the engineers did on the new Jaguar coupe. The engineers said the stiffest chassis of any car they tested was the 5 series BMW. I'm not sure what they were comparing it against, but it sounded like a lot of cars. Anyone else read that article?

Well, it certainly FEELS damn stiff compared to any other car I've driven. I recall with horror the Chevy Cavalier I had as a rental a few months ago, I swear it was held together with duct tape. GM is pathetic...

Hmm, I was always under the impression that with the hybrid body shell, i.e aluminium in front and the rest steel, BMW actually sacrificed a bit of stiffness for weight savings. I guess it's not the case
