Got to larf...
wait till you USA guys see the benefits of a diesel...

32mpg ? You'll get in town - and on a run 45-50! And that' UK Gallons - we have slightly bigger ones here
Not all diesels, filled mine up today:
driven 659,20 km's with 63,36 Liter makes 9,6 L/100km = 24,5 MPG
or 410 miles for 115 USD even 'C can do that in his M5 unless he is really coming to the european meet, then it's 200USD for 1 tank of fuel.

How did you do that? I get only 20.1....was 18.6 and after I installed the aFe it went to 20.1?
This is all HWY driving. Cruising for 200 miles or whatever the case is. If I was only getting 20MPG I take my car in to the shop. That means a tank of gas cruising down the HWY you'd only get about 300 mile out of a tank or so. That is more what people get with mix driving. You'd have to be quite hard on the gas and brake pedal to be that low I'd think.

You have to check it manually. The computer calc on mine reads the same, when I am actually getting around 21-22. On a trip, driving 80mph, I get about 25.5 - 26.5 (computer reads 30-31).

I am very impressed with the mileage, but the computer is way off.
Manually calc it out I usually end up about 1 to 2 MPG or so off. Usually manual calc. out I'm at 26.X to mid 27.X MPG. Computer will be at 28 area or whatever. Really haven't found the computer off by much, only a couple of times have I had it read 30. This is cruising at between 70MPH and 75MPH on open HWY.. Really no hills or anything like that and not much traffic.

Never have I been anywhere near low 20's on a HWY trip. I get a solid 400 miles everytime on an extended trip usually fill up and its about 16 gallons give or take about 3/10ths of a gallon or so when I fill it up. That comes out to a solid 25MPG. Many times I'm more in that 430ish area.

REPOST!

I have always believed that the #2 thing guys lie about is their gas (oline) mileage. The #1 thing is the size of certain body parts.

wow, guess the oil here is better.... or it differs a lot with the manual transmission...

maybe the remap has so much to say...

i'm not sure... but i've proven my milage numbers...

I've got the computer to read 37 mpg before, granted the computer is probably a little off and I may have been driving with a bit of a tail wind but thats still pretty good.
If this is per imperial gallon as I suspect, I've gotten 38.5 (530i) on the highway travelling 120km/h. The key is indeed the use of the consumption meter.
My computer is bang-on for calculation, btw. Just verified.

I don't know how you put it there in english....

but i'll try to explain the best as i can...

As i drive long distances.... Reykjavik - Keflav?k that's 43km [26 miles]... almost straight road, with almost no elevations....

there i'm going as low as 3,9 l/100km [60mpg] and as high as 4,6 l/100km [51mpg]...

average is 4,2 l/100km [56mpg] calculated after topping up fuel in Reykjav?k, driving the 43km [26 miles] and then topping up again in Keflav?k...

Inside town, it has been as low as 7,8 [30] [ and highest is around 8,4 [28]....but... that's with my GF at the wheel... normal driving...

it's always around 9,4-10,1 [23-25] when i drive...

Dyno said 323hp... and the response is at a very good level.... only downfall is the smoke cloud that appears when you get on it...

but i find it a good revenge to put black smoke on some of those road raging assholes in traffic
Red numbers are US conversion...
