I'm taking delivery on a 535xi tomorrow - my CA is off today but I stopped by to see my new 5er in person for the first time. I ordered the sport package and the $600 18" wheel upgrade. From what I've read on forums and (thought) I'd seen in BMW print, I should be getting 245's all around. Mine has 275's on the rears. Were the 275's put on by mistake? I thought the xi's HAD to have the 245's for technical reasons - will this be a problem? Any xi owners have info on this?
Thanks

I think the non sport would have 245's and the sport would have larger wheels on the rear and the 275.

Not a issue I am running staggered 20's on mine and it is lowered. I have 275's on the rear of mine and my rims are 10" in the rear. I have not had a single issue. You really wont have any runing 18's

I think all non-sports get 225 all around. Maybe it was just the wagon with SP that gets the 245's all around. Oh well, they looks great - but no rotating!

In Canada BMW offers the Sport and the MSport on the 535. The Sport has the US model 245 & 275 staggered set-up but the MSport comes with a 245 set-up all around. Unfortunately, there are some sport set-ups with 245's all around.

Finally a mistake that benefits you! The car looks much cooler with the fatty rears. With the increased power of the 535 that puts acceleration comparable to V8 acceleration, you will go through less rear tires with the bigger skins.
