Tried to put 285/30/20's on my 535i Sport, and it rubbed like crazy. I'm not going to risk rolling the fenders and cracking the paint, so I went back to the 275.

Not that I'm an expert or anything but it depends on the tire brand and ur wheel offset. a 295/25/20 tire is an inch shorter than a 285/30 and a 1/2 inch wider. a 275 is still taller than a 295. I would not put a 295 on my car. not enough side wall for me. I wish I can go w more side wall upfront but I cant. may be when I go to coilovers I will go w a bigger side wall over all.

ASpec818.. Sorry I did not get back so quick. I usually carry a lot of tools and equipment in the trunk. Rarely do I have rear passengers and when I did have, I did not rub. But again I have factory sport suspension I'm not dropped at all. my car is also a 525i...I think 535s and 550s are lower.... this is my situation and I hope all works out for u.
