Luckily for me, I'm not to concerned about image or brand.? I prefer BMW, but I could easily be happy in something else as long as it puts a smile on my face.? Whatever I choose, I will eventually come back to BMW, guaranteed.

Well, if you were in the states I would point you to the Infiniti G35, but I doubt you can get those across the pond (for decent money anyways). Please report back on the ride of the e90 and good luck!

Hasn't the RS Focus stopped production now? A well optioned E90 330i would most likely be a better replacement for the E60. If you don't need the practicality of a saloon go and test drive the new 987 Boxster S. That car is FUN!

I agree, a Ford Focus really misses the refinement a E60 has (probably the E90 as well)

Just a pity, it will be hard to find another car as great as the 535d.
But once you realize that it is not your car, it'll be difficult to talk you out of that.
Maybe after a few years you realize that it was superb after all!

Good luck on finding a replacement...and a prospect to buy yours.

Wish there was an automatic trunk close or an easier way to close
The inset handles on the inside work fine for me? But an electric shut would be cool!

What about a BMW M3, or perhaps sign up for an Audi RS3. More sporty, and still some refinement.

...you can get a dragster out of your 535D, just leave it for few hours in the hands of a tuning center...than you will get the old smile back.Think about it before selling the car as a possible last option.
Good luck to find the best way for you.

Smile on your face? Try a Porsche then. I still get a smile on my face every time I drive my 2.7 Boxster and I had it for over 1.3 years now.
