Was looking at some rims....over @ modbargins.com.
19x8.5frt and 19x10rear VMR CSL style. Was wondering if 255/35/19 frt and 295/30/19 rear tires would fit my 2007 530i sport package.
I saw where the M5's have a 255/40/19 frt and 285/35/19 rear tire.
Trying to acheive a heavier steering feel.....steering is not as tight as my 07 X5 4.8i w/sport pack and factory 20's....
Thank you for your help....Dan

No, it's not an M5....just an 07 530i w/sport package.
Do the M5's have a different body, than a regular 5 series ?
Do they have wider flares ?
Beautiful car there Howitzer !!
Thanks for your help....Dan

Go with the stock sizes; 245/35 and 275/30 and you're good to go.
On the other hand, going with 10mm wider tyres doesn't necessary mean rubbing. It depends a lot on offsets of the wheels, lowering of the car and the tyre shoulder profile.

It seems as though it would work to me....as not much differance from stock 245 tire and going to a 255. Going with Hankook ventus V12.
Don't want to spend the money, unless I know for sure though. I didn't know the M5 front fenders were 10mm. wider.
The rear should be no problem? I know when I was looking for 20's for the car...they were recomending 295's.
Sorry for all the questions....thanks for all your help

My Ride: 2008 535i: June 6th start build, complete June 17th, at NY Port July 5th, at dealer July 10th, took delivery Friday July 13- Plantimum Bronze/Natural Brown Leather/Light Poplar, Sport Package, Sport Auto, Active Steering, Premium Package, CWP & PDC. Dinan Performance Software 384hp & 421 ft/lbs.
An increase of 10mm is a total of .40 inches which means .20 inches on the inside and .20 on the outside of the tire. I don't think anything will rub. What do you mean that you want heavier steering? You can easily dial in more oversteer by increasing the psi of the rear tires a few pounds.
