I concur with the positive comments; to-date my 530D has shown improvements in transmission performance - one of the key reasons for the update was to cure transmission slam and jerky 1-2 changes. Pro nav changes welcomed too.

That said I've had the update for a number of weeks now and the iDrive has now begun to fail to boot up occasionally (never a problem prior to update) - wait a few minutes, try again and all is OK; anyone else experienced this problem?

I did the upgrade this past week. WOW, I do like it. Everyone is pretty much on target with this new upgrade, ON TARGET.

BUT! How many are having issues with their CD slot loader? I can place a disk in, but getting out is a fight. The CD comes out a little less than half-way and I have to pull HARD to get it out. I've pushed the button to push it back in.. but it moves a quarter of an inch, if that. So, it basically sticks where it is when I hit the eject button.

Other than this, I'm really happy with the upgrade.

It might be me, but I think the L7 sounds clearer as well.

Has anyone else noticed an increased frequency of rain since the software upgrade?

I've noticed an itchy, burning sensation between my toes.

Has anyone had v25.0x loaded to a 520d, and if so did it improve the throttle response between 1600 and 2200 revs? This was a rumoured improvement to be made in March 2007. Despite have been fettled by the dealer and a new Turbo and Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve fitted I still have the problem on a regular basis, in fact it still happens as soon as the engine is warm and does it all the time.
