I think this may be good advice as I recollect only my copies EVER gave me a moments hesitation. Now if I am in the boonies with nearly no map data I may get a "no guidance possible" message but I expect that.

Try cleaning the NAV DVD. My NAV was acting up and after I cleaned off some smears, it worked better. If the NAV DVD is a copy, try burning another one on a blank from another manufacturer.

True, but earlier CIP versions would mute the audio completely when Nav announcements were made. They now have it blend with the audio as it was back at CIP 12.
CIP 16 muted the audio completely when Nav announcements were made. I haven't had an upgrade since the Nav Perspective View was introduced. What is the most noticeable change? Does the car ring when paired with a Motorola RAZR, or does it still ring on the handset?

Getting this CIP tomorrow.

Just got my car back form the dealer after having a problem wiht the Active sterring, they replaced the AS module and as part of the process updated the software. WOW the car feels absolutely amazing, it seems to pull harder and the gear changes on the step are seamless, it is like a new improved car...loving it
