2011 maps changing 3 DVDs always requres installation

Does that happen with your 2011 maps too?
Every time I insert the other one of 3 DVDs, iDrive has to reinstall the maps - I have to turn the car off for 5 minutes.
It is really annoying when traveling across countries in Europe and switching DVDs.
