I just sold my 2006 530i for a 2010 535i with 27k miles. I am of course aware of the whole hpfp issues with the n54 engine but I'm wondering if it was ever resolved? I checked the service history of the car and noticed that the hpfp recall and programming were done to the car last year.

Any fellow 2010 535 owners out there?

Maybe the HPFP problem has been solved! I've noticed a lack of recent threads regarding failures.

Hi guys. I just purchases a cpo 09 535i and the dealer had switched out the hpfp with a newer model during them certifying the car. Also the paperwork given to me showed that BMW has extended the warranty on the hpfp to 10 yrs 120000 mls, which ever comes first.

No idea if it's been fixed or not. The only issue I've had with my 2010 is a bad fuel injector. The result is the same. Limp mode, you better stop driving, and your car is in the shop for a while. I've noticed a few other fuel injector threads from people, but I don't think it's the new HPFP issue by any means. You can also look on your car's history and see if the HPFP has already been replaced (if you haven't). I'm at just over 16,000 miles now and no issues with it though.. but per the FAQ on this forum.. seems it's as likely to occur at 1000 miles as it is at 60,000 miles.
