Default 2010 528i Engine Clicking Noise. Normal?

I am not very familiar with the straight-6 engine but feel that this noise is odd.
Could anyone tell me if this is normal? This is at idle and "clicks". Would it be the injectors?
Just bought the car a few weeks ago (CPO) so I will most likely take it back for a check-up.
Thoughts?
Thanks!

I would take it in and also show them the video clip. They will probably cold start the car to replicate the issue/noise. Good luck!

So I am sitting at the dealership and they are saying it is normal and that it is the injectors, not the lifters. Not sure i believe them but whatever. I am going to take it to another BMW dealership and get a second opinion.
what do you guys think? Injector noise?

I think your dealership is correct. (important notice: I am not a mechanic or even a very skilled DIY'er. But l am a long time BMW owner).

I have a 2008 528i with the same engine. My engine currently sounds like yours in your video.

About a year ago I did have a ticking sound in my engine when it was cold started in the winter. That sound was diagnosed as noisy HVA lifters. THe dealership replaced all the exhaust cam lifters and drag levers under warranty. No more ticking noise.

If you want to hear what noisy lifters sound like check out this video of the same engine that is in your car.

That distinct, separte clicking sound are the noisy lifters.

To my unprofessional ear, your engine sounds normal.

Hope this is of help.

Mine is exactly the same, BMW Coopers said its normal and its due to the injectors. To be fair they changed a coil under warranty so its not as if they couldn't be bothered.
