Any one live in the San Diego area on here? I'm looking to purchase a 550 from a dealership out in San Diego. The problem is I live in New York. I'm kinda reluctant on buying it without seeing it. It's at a prestine dealership but not BMW. Any opinions?

 

Is it posted online? Is it CPO? if it's got a lot of high-res pics that look great, and it's CPO to cover any mechanical issues, then I'd feel more comfortable. Still don't know for sure until you drive it though.

There are companies, last I checked, that for a small fee will go out and test drive/inspect the car for you - I did that several years ago and it worked great. It was only like $100-$200 and an ASE-cert mechanic went to do like a 100-pt inspection, and test drive the car in another city for me, and I got a detailed report with comments emailed to me. Don't recall the name of the company I used though, but should be multiples. something like this: 150 Point Check List
