2008 550i Transmission problem

Hi, I have an 08 550i with 40k miles on it. I had the whole computer system in the car replaced by the dealer because it was defected. So now my problem is that when I throw the car into reverse it takes about 3-4 seconds before it actually engages into the gear.
Putting it into D mode is normal, but whenever going into R it delays 3-4 seconds. I dont think this is normal. Is there any quick fix to this? I cant take the car to the dealership anytime soon because I need it for work. Took it one time they said it was fine though, but this doesnt feel fine.
ALSO I have already added 2 quarts of oil in less than 10k miles, is this normal? It seems to consume oil when the tachometer hits close to red line.
