BMW has certainly made the 550i SP more appealing than the 535i SP.
I was wondering how they could possibly differentiate thee 550i from the 535i -- now we know
Which to choose ????

The latest BMW Magazine has a spread on the LCI E60 ... but with not much new news. Photos show the 550i Sport in Carbon Black -
it looks absolutely stunning.
The only new comment seems to be about the front air dam (on the aero kit): "now has upturned edges, like a smile - does it know it's going to accelerate a lot faster?" I don't see any difference though.

Same text about the Sport Automatic transmission - we still don't really know what it is.

huh?? I did not realise they were changing the m-sport pack. I can understand the upturned edges on the front air dam to bring it line with the other 5er front bumpers, but what's with the "eye-brows" on the side?
Is this a US spec car or also something coming to Europe?

The European and thus original intended design all the way for me.

The orange side reflectors in the new position look far worse than incorporated into the headlight unit in the original version IMHO. They are now so obvious and look like some cheap aftermarket add-on which doesn't belong to the likes of an executive car.

My Ride: '05 545i - scheduled for ED pickup in Munich on 7/22!
The new orange reflectors are for USA only.
Note how USA versions of the E92 coupe, Mini Cooper, and Lotus Elise/Exige all have thin orange reflectors along the front wheel wheel, while ROW versions of these cars do not.

Not an expert on this. But a few thoughts.
...The original runflats probably forced BMW to soften the suspension, while its true that active roll allows for a softer ride in normal driving and firms up as cornering forces increase...

Do you think there is there any way to appreciably firm up the cornering in this car as it presently exists...either through some sort of engine bar or other shock tower braces (Dinan or otherwise)?
