My Ride: *on order* expected 12/20/07: 2008 550i space gray, gray leather, anthracite bamboo, sport pkg, logic7, iPod, HD, Sirius, Navigation, head-up display, comfort access, heated front seats, fold-down seats
I live in So. Cal. I recently ordered a 2008 550i. Sticker price was $71,495. I ordered it through the dealership's Fleet Manager for $66,985. $800 over invoice.
Believe it or not, I technically got it through Costco. If you go to costco.com and click on Services -> Auto Buying Program and enter your membership number, they hook you up with a local BMW dealer who will offer you a pre-negotiated price for Costco members.

Hey Jack, I tried the CostCo plan and had 2 BMW dealers contact me. They were only willing to discount approx. 5% off retail and I didn't think that was such a deal ...ended up going though an old high school friend who runs a Ford store and he hooked me up with a very good friend of his who owns 3 dealerships in the Central coast area. Ended up getting my BMW for $700.00 over invoice...saved me an additional $1500 - $2500.
