Very impressive. This is the first 535 I've seen modded like that. I have a JBS1 and will be upgrading to the S2, but my 1/4 mile was nothing like that. I ran at Thunder Valley in Noble, OK which is somewhere around 1200' elev. give or take 100'. My runs were as follows:

TRIP #1, 9-07-07 (all stock, 960 miles on the clock)
-----------
78 degrees, 80% humidity (horrible air)
1/4 tank 91 octane
1 hour of cool-down time
Sport mode (let the tranny do the shifting), DTC off
14.357 @ 95.8 mph, 2.2 60ft.
I was told everyone was 3 or 4 tenths and 3 or 4 mph off because of the air.
My only other run that night was a near identical 14.3 at the same mph.

TRIP #2 , 9-14-07 (JBS1, 1115 miles on the clock)
-----------
61 degrees, 63% humidity (slightly better air but still bad)
1/4 tank 91 octane
1 hour of cool down time
Sport mode (let the tranny do the shifting), DTC off
14.23 @ 98.X mph, 2.1XX 60ft.
I ran 2 other runs that were hot laps because I was running out of time so
they were 14.3's. Again, everyone was running a little slow.

Needless to say, I wasn't jumping up and down over those numbers. I was going to get a boost gauge and do some vacuum testing to make sure I was making full boost but I never got around to it. Those dyno numbers give me hope though! What are the specs on your catback system? Also, are you not worried about your warranty?? Good job and very informative considering the lack of modded 535's!

WOW 12.5 on 34x HP on a car this heavy. I personally thing that this is a bit low. I can see maybe 13.00. I know that 12's is a pretty good number but with the weight of the 5 series on that hp I have many doubts. My past drag background with cars around 350hp and much lighter are struggling to hit these number. But I do have to say that the HP number rock for the mods.... I guess I need to make sure I don't mess w/ the 535 guys

Nice improvement!! I think your initial statement that most 535'rs won't mod this car may be a bit conservative I really think this tt engine is a gem that the 3 folks know about - but will take a while for the 5'rs to realize...the BMW ads I've seen don't really highlight powertrain comparisions...

Would you mind posting more details around your specific mods/costs, etc? Us 535 owners would appreciate it These cars really are decent quick right out of the box, but if there is more hp to be "reliabilyy" unlocked...why not!!

The only thing I read in your mods list that I might not consider is the removal of the 2nd set of cats...Cali. gets pretty nasty about doing things like that.

Again, GREAT runs!!

their website doesnt really instill much confidence. Its surprising how cheap and simple appearin their product is. WHat kind of history do these guys have? and how does it compare to Shiv's products? Its always risky to mod factory warranty FI cars.

Let me tell you a little of my history on modding 535, I was first 535 with procede, Shiv used my car to develop the procede, Although Procede makes good numbers and works good on the 335, on the 535 it was a different story. My car kept on telling me that there was a electrical power drain, and I kept having limp modes when i would drive the car hard. Next tuner I tried was the Turbo Tuner, This little box was great cause it totaly woke up the car & was easy to install & Uninstall to visit the dealer. The Turbo Tuner work great as far as reduced limp modes compared to the procede, but once in a while I still got them. Unfortunately I chose the JB2 last, my reason for choosing the JB2 last was the same as you, It look really cheap and simple appearing, but I had already spent a lot of money & decided what do i got to loose more unreliability . So i got the JB2 & guess what guys NO LIMP MODES, %100 percent reliable, no worrying about uploading maps & changing setting cause my car is running bad, My car runs the same everytime.

I have to say other BMWs with more HP and lighter than yours are not making the numbers you show on Gtech. I suspect the calibration/setup. You really need to run a drag strip to validate your Gtech set up. Still impressed with your dyno results. One reason I am waiting for the first V8tt BMW puts in a 6er.

Sure

JB2 = $379
Hot Pill =$15
R = $99

All of these combined = JB2HR
http://www.bmwjuice.com/
They are different stages depending on how much power you want. I daily drive with JB2, wich is meant for 91 octane & still feels alot more powerfull than stock, plus %100 Reliable. On the JB2 my car ran 13.064 @ 108. Made 315 rwhp & 340 rwtq. Keep in mind that for some reason 335 makes mode power than the 535, so the numbers of power gains that are listed in the website are higher, because its what the 335 gets.

My exhaust is custom with stock chrome tips, so neat thing is you cant see that its modified, I originally started by trying out a similar setup to the 335, Dual 2.5 inch X pipe & magnaflow mufflers, with this setup i gained 6 rwhp but lost 10 tq, I imidiately change the exhaust system to single 3 inch catback, its a dual 2.5 to one 3 inch outlet magnaflow muffler then 3 inch to the rear of the car. this setup got me (my 10 tq back ) 4 rwtq & 7 rwhp over stock exhaust system, plus its a super quiet system and when you get on the gas you can hear the car pretty good. The second exhaust cost me $100 for the magnaflow muffler & 120 for labor of the custom exhaust work.
Magnaflow Muffler = $100
Labor & Parts = $120

K&N = $60

Total cost was $780
My car stock made 275 rwhp/ 264 rwtq
My car with these mods made 346 rwhp/ 385 rwtq
difference is 71 rwhp/ 121 rwtq
& 100% reliable, no limp modes, no problems whatsoever .

I recently got my hands on some ultimate racing catless downpipes. Ill post some results when I install them.
