All,
I have E60 535 with SSG steering wheel and interested in retrofit to M5 SMG steering wheel. Being reading a tons of threads, I still have no idea if I can do this retrofit. Here is my question, can I reuse my SSG shift paddle to M5 SMG steering wheel? I do not want to spend money to buy SMG shift paddles.
The other question is if the retrofit is possible, Do I have to buy the slip ring?

My Ride: 2008 535i
I believe it is possible, however the problem is the air bags. They are not interchangable, to my knowledge anyway. I have been looking for an M steering wheel with the heated option and as soon as i find one i will be attempting this mod as well.

I checked the air bag part no of M5 and 535i, they are same. So, I believe it is interchangable.
Asked. The answer is "Yes".
