I know it doesn't.

But as a 545 owner a 540 sounds more attractive then the 550.

You lost me a little bit. I think there's already an E60 540 in countries outside the US. I think that post on the E90 board is full of confusion...

Sorry, I think I just accidentally reported one of the responses here... it's early - I clicked on the wrong thing. Please ignore.

I personally hope they release a turbo N52. I think that in stock form it will probably be formidable, and with a modification here and there it should easily eclipse the 550i. I've owned a modified turbo car, and known many others with heavily modified cars. It's insanely easy to make hp. Look at the previous gen Audi S4. It can easily gain 100+ hp with almost no investment, and no invasive modifications. Maybe they'll finally add the M-sport kit with this "sporting" model???

Thanks Das. I've disabled the loading of images in my browser (until the security issues get patched). Hunting for the correct text hyperlink in these graphical environments has been "interesting". I got it wrong just now.
There is an unoffical patch already for the WMF issues:

details here: http://blogs.securiteam.com/index.php/archives/176

cheers

I know. I don't trust the unofficial patch completely - most of my professional contacts aren't implementing it either, opting for other options. (I'm a CISSP)

I'll live until the 10th. Thanks though for trying to help.

Don't worry -- you'll be fine. I don't think that other post has any merit as it pertains to the E60...

Remember the GS350/GS450 and GS460 will be out shortly and I think BMW wants to make sure they have something competitive ready quick. Just a thought. I am guessing the 550 has more power hiding somewhere and if there is going to be a 335, then there will be a 535 for sure (maybe not in March though).

Remember that MB already has an E350 too. <_<
