Hi all,

I'm looking at a 2006 550i in SoCal. In negotiating, the dealer told me that the 2007 550i's wouldn't be available until fall 2006 and that only the 530s and 525s are truly starting for march production. He said there's a ton of mis-information out there on the timing of availability for the 550i.

This dealer obviously has an incentive for me to believe this given that we're negotiating over price and he's trying to get me to sign up before month end--anyone confirmed a production date for the 2007 550i that they ordered?

Also do y'all know if .0026 is the best money factor one can get on a 2-3 year lease in California even though the national one posted on this forum indicates .0020 is the best rate?

I have a MY07 ordered. Manufacturing begins on MY07 E60's on March 1. I believe your first step is to find another dealer in your area. If your salesman cannot tell the truth on an easy question how will it be when you get to real issues. Talk to the General Manager and tell them not to waste your time.


My particular car is European Delivery with a date of May 8th but that late date is my call. The dealership could have gotten a mid april ED date.

Your dealer is pulling your chain. ALL 5 series besides the M5 will be MY07 as of March 2006 build. Wait for it!
