2006 lemon/now 2007 in shop
Well after turning in our 2006 525i under the lemon law we put our trust in bmw and got a 2007 525i.. what a big mistake. if you are thinking about getting a new bmw start looking into anything other then a bmw. This is our 6 bmw 525 and our last one!!!! 2007 car is in the shop for the "steering sensor and it may be there for 20/30 days.Talked to bmwna today and they said to bad talk to your dealer. How can bmw have fallen so low so fast....can't wait till i can sell it....

Sorry to hear it. I have a pre-Sept 2005 MY 2006 with the old steering sensor system and I have had no issues that required a visit to the dealer in nearly 15 months of ownership. Was your 2006 a Sept. 2005+ build? I understand that there were a lot of faulty sensors that made it into the Sept-05+ production. Quite a shortage of replacement parts. Maybe you should give it a chance after the new sensor is installed. It might just be ok after that.
