I know this is a common question and sincere apologies for it being kept up. Your input is really valuable and the information I have read so far is excellent however would like to clarify a few things.

First of all I have checked via realoem I can't see which part is the swirl flap.

Having said this, looking at the forum, It clear that the M57N engine does have swirl flaps. However, I have been advised that the swirl flaps in the M57N engine are actually a new modified version which are much better than the previous ones. More importantly, not as simple as previous versions to take out?

Is it true in this particular engine, it is controlled electronically which would mean if swirl flaps are removed their would be an error code on ECU?
