If you car goes into production on 10/2. The earliest it can ship from port would be 10/20 or later. The transit time from Bremerhaven to US west coast is 4 weeks. Thus putting your arrival to VPC 11/20. If you are lucky, takes about another 3 to 4 days. You are looking at thanksgiving.

I was referring to picking up my car on 10/24, by the way.
Krispy, I'm sure the drive down from Oregon in the new M5 will be awful.
I have Orion Diamond coming in on 10/16.

And to confirm... NYK Lines does handle all shipments to the US West Coast. East Coast cars do use WW. And you cannot track cars by VIN on NYK (as mentioned earlier in this string).
I am flying up north to oregon to pick up my car. It looks like your car and my car are on the same ship.
All i know is that Orion Diamond departed South Hampton on 9/24/05. ETA San Diego 10/15. And i made a mistake, Arriving port huneme on 10/17/05.

Thanks for the insight KrispyKreme...Hopefully I too will have a VIN assigned. Later delivery is fine with me...more time for me to save up for and to talk my wife in to the 20's it will need!
