while the car was off i add 4 litters of fluid until i got i little stream Flowing out from the refill not place. I then started the car and shift the gears between all the gears for 10 seconds. I waited until the transmission temperature was at 30 degrees Celsius then continued refilling until I get a small stream of fluid flowing out. By the time I finished refilling the tranny it was at 43 degrees Celsius. I tried to level the car as level as possible doing this procedure. In total I add 7 litters. I bought another 2 litters of the zf lifeguard 6 incase its missing fluid. Thanks again for your help

I also noticed that the hard shifting happens when the engine or transmission is at normal temperature. I am at 700 KM. the hard shifting is still there but its better than before. Notice it more when its down shifting. What do you think. Is it still in the learning process how can I tell.

Seems like it would have worked through the details by now, but I've never seen anything definitive on the "learning curve"... and it IS a BMW (meaning there are 12,533 variables we're not considering). ;-)
FWIW, I believe that the BMW transmission DOES downshift a bit more aggressively than "lesser cars" (which normally only downshift when the downshift won't raise the RPM more than a hair). I guess that's a feature and not a problem, though it probably drives hypermilers nuts. ;-)
