I wonder if the E90s have this issue too, since they have the same system.?? Thanks again for chiming in.
Hey DAS, thanks again for your continued support and I will give it a try, but if it works I still need to use DSC/DTC. I think this problem is getting better as the miles go by and will keep you updated.

Probably it did exist earlier as some people mention it disappears after a while. In the 1st week of my ED, I drove 1300 miles and with all the driving and excitement and german beer, I might have not been that sober to notice it ![W00t](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/w00t.gif)

I have a late-May build US model 530xi. Manual transmission.
I tried an experiement this morning on the way in to the office.
(1) Get car on an uphill incline.
(2) Make sure hill start assistant is working.
(3) Disable DSC via the button.
(4) Check for hill start assistant operation.
Push the button once and you get DTC mode. Hill start assistant was still operating.
Push and hold the button and disable all DSC. Hill start assistant was still operating.
Just to be sure, I put the clutch in and out and operated the brake pedal several times with each mode change.
So, the conclusion is that, at least one of the "+" features cannot be diasbled.

(But since they're only like $20, I imagine it wouldn't be that big of a deal even if you did have two sets.

I guess when they say DSC is completely disabled, they don't really mean it...
I guess here afterwards, BMW should consider moving these new DSC+ features into the regular features list and thereby avoiding any confusion about 'disabling' them.
I really think these features are standalone...especially Hill Assist....it should not be part of DSC.

Mentally I continue to respond to this thread of mine since I believe if I gripe about this more and more the problem will go away (realistically if it goes away it's due to the longer I drive this vehicle). It is not as bad now, but I am still getting the shudder back and forth. I want to attribute all of this to the break-in period, but since I have never experienced this before it is hard to imagine this would be the case. More updates soon.
