I recently bought a 2006 530xi and the previous owner removed the stock radio and added an alpine touchscreen GPS Sirius XM radio. The idrive display on the dash is completely off because it's not connected to the CCC....as much as I do like the alpine touchscreen, I dont have access to idrive so I cant check any of the fluid levels or maintenance stuff.

I opened up the dash to see behind the radio and I found a blue tipped L-shaped wire that attaches to the screen that is currently not plugged in to anything and I assume that is what the display uses to show info.

Being I dont have the original radio and cant fit it unless I remove the touchscreen, is there any other way/device to make the idrive display work?
