2006 530i overheating!

i replaced the thermostat & e/waterpump and my car is still overheating....i did a obd2 scan and code p0599 came up =[ what do i do?

is it a sensor that went bad? if so where can i locate it?

Did you test the old sensor to make sure it was bad before you replaced it? Sometimes the wiring to the sensor can be bad and replacing the sensor won't make a difference. Good luck.

Nothing like a great indie for this problem. I had it a few months ago, also had the thermostat and water pump replaced, then it misfired on me, I got scared and thought maybe the engine block is cracked. And then I found a good indie and he fixed her up like new in a matter of hours.

Hang in there! These are some robust cars we have here

im still thinking it some kind of sensor that went out on me when i changed my starter.. next thing im going to try is bleeding the coolant =/

When mine leaked it was the expansion tank which holds the coolant. I also replaced a lot of the hoses as they looked old. Not leaking anymore. Have you done a pressure test as the radiator could be leaking?

Sounds like you may be low on blinker fluid. Member flying puck can help with this.

nope i dont have a leak but the last thing im going to do is change the expansion tank.

Check you might have air in the cooling systems!
