My Ride: 2008 BMW 550i
Hey guys... I'm a complete noob when it comes to this... got an error in my car today that one of the front lights was out - I forget the verbiage, but the ring light around the headlight wasn't working. Are these easy to replace? Are these the angel eyes everyone speaks of?
My 530i is a 2006 with a production date of 06/2005, so I think I'm pre-LCI? Where can I find a good replacement light for these and how hard/easy is it to replace? I want them to be LED lights, not amber. SO confused with all the language on here.
Thanks for being gentle.

sounds like they are the angel eyes. You can find many replacements on ebay or the web. They are not to hard to change out, just simply twist it to take off the cover and take out bulb. It is a little hard to get your hand in there though, since its a small space to work with.

I'm very ignorant on this topic. Just came into some money and want to really fix up my 530.

Benji, I would suggest taking the time to search and read. Obviously your questions have been covered many times, so I'll just gloss over them.
You have pre-LCI.
Pre-LCI and LCI uses different bulbs and rings. LCI rings are comparatively smaller than Pre-LCI, most people can't tell. Read first sentence. If you have xenon headlights, and want to retrofit to LCI, you will have to do the taillights as well. Though theoretically, it is possible to do it without taillights, but you'll get errors for your tails. As for whether or not it's worth it, that's a hard one. Value is different for people in different situation. For starters, it looks heckuva lot better.
As for what you gain, besides the new headlight and taillights, you'll also need a new light module, which will allow you to have welcome light, angel eyes as DRL, and corner lights (if you care).
