100K is nothing for a BMW, however we are afraid of that number.
true its like when I turned 30 just a time of reflection lol, looking back on the miles and seeing if I made all the right choices and what my next step will be!

300k! wow! I wish i can take mine that far, is it also an e60?? 04 530i (m54 engine) I hear is one of the best, or say some people but I have the (n52) 06 engine, more hp but for some reason the engine is not as reliable in the long haul according to some.

I contemplated this same topic a while ago when I was approaching CPO ending. That was in May. I decided to keep her, take good care of her as usual, pamper her a little more now, and as always, keep up on my preventative maintenance. BTW I still drive it hard, as it is intended.
You would likely drop 3-5k on a down payment for another car, so just think of that $$ used for repairs.
I have the N52 and from what I've learned it's pretty solid.
Just get past this early contemplation phase and you'll sleep much easier.

OP is your car auto, or manual? Even autos are pretty good w/the I6, but I still prefer manual.
Yea i am a fan of the I6 as well, mpg average is about 23 total and highway is close to 30mpg on a Vegas run, that's why i decided to go with this particular model. I have an auto transmission and I tend to use DS mode more than i should, i wonder if that may be an issue in the long run?

Haha! I've used that mode every single day as soon as I leave the driveway! I wonder the same thing.

True, i need to get to my next mods that's another reason for my concern, this crossroad is holding things up a little right now. But I think shes a keeper

Just checking on your post. I have had some problems with my E60 as well as the other two BMW's. The 07 335i, the fuel pump/injector/reprogramming recall and some problems with 2005 E46. The seat sensor, axle boots, and one electrical gremlin. Even though I have had some problems, I still love the way the BMWs drive and feel. We just have to be prepared to pay $$$$s for repair or parts. I would say hang on to it. We are looking in to a new 2012 5 series and this time, I'm investing a few extra bucks for the extended warranty!!!
