I live in NJ too (Princeton) and my 530i drove very well in the snow/ice storm. I was actually passing quite a few cars on I-95 which was a mess...but I have snow tires on all four! I used to put them on all my Audi Quattros as well. Nothing goes well in ice and snow without traction and traction comes firm contact with the surface. I was VERY happy because this is the first time I have had it out in snow and it really did perform nicely. The traction control would kick in when needed and performed well.

 

Tire Chain Would Be A Good Idea. And Bilzzak Too

 

why on earth did you drive out in a snow storm, I would have just stayed indoors or get public transport.
