You guys must have gotten some really good deals to pay in the upper 20s for an 05. I paid around 30K for my black/black fully loaded 545i with 47K miles. It wasn't a CPO either. As far as MPG, I'm getting 19.25/25 with regular and probably 21/28 with premium. I've been driving pretty conservatively of late because of gas prices though.

Your putting regular?.......I am puting 91 not 93, and I get worried. I don't see how your driving yoru car with reg. unleaded gas, and not having any prob.

Good luck to that one

CPO 2005 545 Fully Loaded Nav.
36K miles.
Excellent Cond.
Ok now, what price is fair? and what is the MPG for this car?
BMW dealer.
Sir,

Before answering your question, I suggest that you seek out someone that has access to a Manheim Auto Auction. I log on to their website occasionally, and track a few cars as they go from the auction to autotrader and cars.com. Dealers seem to be marking up '05 545 6 speeds between $5-8K from their purchase price, so I'd guess that a CPO'd car is going to be on (or above) the higher end of that "mark-up" scale.

so what are '05 545 6 speeds with 36K going for these days at Manheim? Last time I checked, cars in that range of year and mileage sold for ~25-27K. I am in the market for that exact car and mileage myself, and I have been peeping a sliver/black with 29K in miles that is estimated to sell for around 27 large.Unfortunately, it's being auctioned today in San Fran, and I'm an East Coaster, so I will take a pass.

Hope that this was helpful!

is it really only 1 mpg? i thought it was 3. even though if its only between 1-3 it can start adding up. If it were only really 1 mpg i would've gotten my self a 545i instead of my 530i. i did my research on MPG before i bought my E60 and went with the 530i b/c i hoped to have better MPG but it's still not that great.
I have to look it back up in my brochures... I posted it once before but a quick search didnt bring my old post back up so I cant link it... but the difference is really negligible...

Do you have an automatic or manual? A 2006 530i automatic is rated at 19/27 mpg, city/highway; the manual is rated at 20/30 mpg. A 2005 545i automatic is rated at 18/26 mpg, city/highway; the manual is rated at 17/25 mpg. So the automatics differ by 1 mpg for both city and highway and the manuals differ by 3/5 mpg city/highway.
