Is there a way I can get covered under my extended warranty, or if not about how much will it cost me for BMW to replace my old 2004 that is soo SLOW and dont work properly and small and text faded and hard to read idrive screen, replacing it with the newer BMW
technology larger idrive screen without TOO much expense and any problems of software upgrades to get working FAST and Easy to read and work properly like the 2010 models have which are nice!! (or do I have to buy a new idrive system). Is there a 2004 BMW softeware upgrade out there that reasponable cost I could purchase download and install myself?

Thanks in advance!!

the dealer will not do this upgrade. see forum member patrick for conversion. there is a thread floating around here in the vendor classifieds.

There is also a thread on the M5board about a conversion done to an M5. Looks pretty good if you ask me but not sure if it is worth the money.

Dealers want to either sell you a new car or make a killing of parts! so,
sell and buy. don't wast your time customising too much..
nothing but cash for dramas
and you dont get it back when/if you sell it later
