2004 e60 530d too much oil

hi there i recently changed the oil in my e60 530 d i put in 8.6 litres instead of 8.3 will this cause me big problems the dipstick is reading about 2mm above the max on the dipstick

If I were you I would remove the extra oil. It may happen but you could blow a seal, that would not be a good thing. Its better to be safe than sorry.

.....too much oil is actually worse than too little.

Are you checking the oil level using the proper procedure? I.E. Drive it first...

hi there lads thanks for the info i dipped the car and its bang on the max so i should be ok i hope no warning lights or nothing showing on the dash thank god
